To celebrate ten years of the RTI Act in India, the NCPRI held a national level public hearing at the Gandhi Peace Foundation in Delhi. Hundreds of people representing thirteen states participated in the hearing. People from across India shared stories of how the RTI act has empowered them to expose corruption on a grand scale and also to ensure delivery of basic rights and entitlements.I represented Haryana RTI issues in the public hearing on the 10th anniversary of the RTI Act, at Gandhi Peace Foundation, Delhi. After a long time; I had a privilege to share the dais with Former Chief Information Commissioners; with whom I had opportunity to work as a Legal Consultant. I also enjoyed the company of stake holders of RTI. Another important decision was that the CIC Convention will be boycotted, as the invitation had not been sent to all old RTI Activists.
