LAWYER WITH FACE VALUE.

Few days back a client involving huge commercial stake of more than 10 crore, engaged me in a case for Chandigarh. HC. He asked me the names of some senior Advocates with face value, but I told him that neither I had high face value nor did I believe in the extraordinary magic of some senior Advocate. But I can guarantee that on law point my petition and argument would be matching with any Senior Advocate of Supreme Court.  I told him that ‘if you want face, you can engage some lawyer with face value.’ But he still engaged me @ decent fee. While sitting whole night with him I drafted the petition and filed. Today, he received a call from him intimating him that he will bring some senior lawyer from Delhi for appearance. Though, its the prerogative of a client to engage anyone, but still very perplexed, which led to e-mail, in which I have declined to assist any Senior Advocate. I know, it’s against courtesy, but cant help, as I am only like this.
