My Experiences with YOGA-PHYSICAL EXERCISE-VIPASSANA MEDITATION

6 years old photo at Lodhi Garden, New Delhi

I have been doing PHYSICAL EXERCISES since last more than 23 Years, YOGA since last about 10 Years and VIPASSANA MEDITATION since last 3 Years. My whole life and destiny is the outcome of the combination of these three. Let me share:
Due to multiple factors including Socio-Family environment I was little bit extra notorious and daring child in comparison to the children of my age. When I was at the peak of notorious age, which is also called teenage, I came into the touch of sports, though not out of sports-spirit. For few months I tried wrestling, one month in Judo and then finally came into touch with my Boxing Coach Sardar Rajinder Singh. My life changed considerably in Boxing, firstly my anger, aversion, frustration, dejection and fighting spirit was dissolved in it and secondly my energy and time was channelized. Now, I had no time to waste on teenage evils, as since in the morning from 4 to 8 I was at stadium, during day time in School/College and also N.C.C. and at in the evening against from 5 to 8 against at stadium. Thus, I was saved from multiple vices of young age, especially the alcohol; which I had tasted at the very threshold of teenage.
Then around the Year 2007 I was attracted towards YOGA, thanks to the publicity given by Baba Ramdev, whatever the reasons for publicity were. It helped me to contain, at least to an extent, my fascination for alcohol, the third hobby after reading and exercise. And, I was also able to contain and cure my childhood diseases of allergy/cold and early stage of asthma.
When I started earning I was able to fulfil my deep-rooted desire of having high quality liquor. I always consoled myself that I wont get addicted, as I dont take liquor in routineInitially, I used to take 3-4 times in a month, then one time in a week, then 3-4 times in a week and day came when I found myself in a family situation when I could not enjoy liquor, despite doing morning-evening jogging, I was very sad, irritable and lazy. Then, I realised that I was in the web of liquor addiction, which I used to boast that I wont get. Then, I remembered the advice, once upon a time given by my Friend, RTI Guru, Mentor/Career-Guide Arvind Kejariwal to attend VIPASSANA MEDITATION.  I am grateful to Arvind for this gift. Though, at present, I cant associate myself with Arvind. I attended 10 days VIPASSANA MEDITATION camp, though I felt lot of discomfort. But after some time I realised that my creativity was increasing and I was able to distance myself, without force and advice, from liquor. Firstly, I reduced liquor to 2 times a month, then every year and even 2 camps a year and finally after 4 meditation camps; today I have not only quitted liquor, but also other deep rooted vices like anger, frustration and aversion. Even today, I perform my three essential morning activity, i.e., PHYSICAL EXERCISE-YOGA-MEDITATION and each day climbing towards my goal with dedication and determination.
