Chandigarh, Nov.2017: As many as 2406 dengue cases have been reported up to 2nd November in Haryana, an RTI reply of Haryana Govt. to Advocate Pardeep Rapria reveals. Whereas, reportedly in the year 2016, total dengue cases reported were 458.
STATUS OF DENGUE IN HARYANA FOR THE YEAR 2017(UP TO 2ND NOVEMBER)
The aforesaid figure is indicative of the poor health conditions in Haryana, which is the violation of the 'The Right to Health' of the people of Haryana, And, shockingly, third maximum cases of dengue, are reported from Ambala the Home District of the Health Minister Anil Vij. Likewise last year the the seriously affected district is Ambala.
Almost five time multiplication in the dengue cases since last year, reflects that the Haryana Govt. has failed to take any step to control the dengue. The Health Minister needs to asked, What strategy was drawn to combat the dengue? Whether all strategies of Mr. Vij have failed to combat the dengue?
I wonder, whether citizens should be forced to approach the Court even for the basic issues of health and education? The Govt. needs to understand that wasting public money on celebrations of State functions wont help to get rid of the disease. The money needs to be invested in health care and various departments, including civic bodies, need to work in tandem to keep the diseases at bay.-
