Corruption in Construction of Roads

Tomorrow, 11.02.2015 the case relating to corruption in construction of roads in Sahabad (Kurukshetra) is coming for arguments in the Chandigarh HC. Vigilance Bureau has filed reply that in the name of investigation; after lapse of more than one year, only samples of roads have been sent to Lab and that is also after receiving the notice from HC. Will try to get settled the Law on Investigation into corruption cases.

Client informed that all the contractors' panchayat went to local MLA and pleaded for help; by saying the they had not financed in the election to see the present day of facing threat of going to jail and the one MLA assured them all possible help; with strong worded promise. I wonder at the confidence of MLA to influence the Vigilance Bureau.

Corruption affects India at all levels of governmental decision-making and in the distribution of state largesse. Corruption in India not only poses a significant danger to the quality of governance, but also threatens in an accelerated manner the very foundations of its democracy and statehood. The recent revelations of corrupt practices in defence purchases and related contracts not only tend to undermine the security of the Indian state, but also fundamentally shake the people's trust and belief in the Government of India and its institutions.
